Reiki is a gentle but powerful technique that restores the body's natural balance.  Reiki treats throughout the whole session - your body, emotions, mind and spirit!  It;s a totally non-invasive technique that is always beneficial.  It is the universal life energy that is all around us and within us.

Reiki is believed by many to have its real roots in India, having passed through Tibet and China to Japan, where Dr Usui rediscovered it in the late 1800’s. According to Dr Usui’s own writings, Reiki as we know it in the west, is a synthesis of a seven level tantric teaching. The spiritual and energy empowerments relate to Buddah.

How Reiki heals...

Dr Usui wrote ‘Reiki heals indirectly by calming the mind and raising the life force energy’. It is activated by a master attunement from your own crown down through the palms of your hands to the recipient. Direct healing of the organs under the hands, takes place. It works much the same way as acupuncture in that it travels via the meridians and heals other slow moving cells. It heals on level, whether they be physical, emotional and mental. Once tuned in to the Reiki frequency you are tuned in for life.

What Reiki feels like...

The recipient will feel different things at different times depending their on needs and condition. Some experiences include warmth, vibration, pulsing waves, tingling, water flowing, spacey, colour, sounds. Clothes are not removed, you will feel relaxed holistically.
